Beauveria Bassiana is an entomopathogenic fungus that acts as a natural biocontrol agent against various insect pests.

DESCRIPTION:

  • Entomopathogenic Fungus: Beauveria Bassiana infects and kills insects, causing a disease known as white muscardine disease.
  • Natural Occurrence: It grows naturally in soils worldwide and parasitizes various arthropod species.
  • Mechanism: The spores of the fungus come into contact with the insect's cuticle, germinate, penetrate the cuticle, and grow inside the insect, eventually killing it.
